MARINE BLUE, Leptotes marina
A summer immigrant. Sightings here in 2021 and 2022. They do not overwinter here in any stage.
EASTERN TAILED-BLUE, Cupido comyntas
A common resident, seen April through November. Low flying and fast, they are the only Blue with tails. Males are brilliant blue, females are gray. Caterpillars feed on vetches, clovers, and alfalfa. They overwinter as Larva.
SPRING AND SUMMER AZURES, Celastrina ladon and Celastrina neglecta
Difficult to differentiate, especially without both dorsal and ventral views. Very uncooperative subjects as they rest with wings closed. Labeled here based on the time of year observed.
